Swimsuit Hunt

Next week I leave for my annual family vacation to the Ozarks and I've spent the past 2 months trying to find a one-piece. It has definitely been tough. I don't want something that makes me feel like I'm an old lady or something that's just too boring. Here are just a few of the possibilities I've found...

1. I love the black and white in this suit. The white band around the waist helps give the illusion of a slimmer waist.
2. Everyone needs a great beach towel. This Fouta Turkish Towel is huge so it's great to lay out on and it can also double as a stylish sarong!
3. I love the geometric pattern and neckline on this Zimmermann suit. The design also provides a subtle hourglass figure.
4. Retro style suits have been coming back into style. The mint color is refreshing and perfect for summer. The ruching on this Norma Kamali suit is great for hiding that extra burger I plan on eating during my vacation.
5. A beach bag is an essential for any summer vacation. This one from Daily Look has a pop of color and the rope handles provide a nautical vibe. Bonus: the silicone bottom means that it'll keep your beach essentials dry at the beach, lake, or pool!
6. A fun pattern definitely helps keep a suit from being boring. This TopShop palm tree suit is far from boring and old-lady-like.
7. The sun is no joke. Besides wearing some SPF, a hat is a great way to protect from UVs. I love the classic look of this hat from Forever21, affordable and chic.
8. This beauty from Norma Kamali is anything but boring. I love how the suit is both simple and interesting at the same time.
9. Who wouldn't love to be a mermaid in the summer? Enough said.

  1. I LOVE No.3! I'm such a sucker for geometric patterns. What's it like in the Ozarks? This is the first I've heard of them. http://www.cadesignbum.com/blog/

  2. I love going to the Ozarks!. It's a large area in the central part of the US that has a bunch of lakes and mountains. My family stays in the southern Missouri part of the Lake of the Ozarks. I basically spend my entire week doing some type of water activity and soaking up the sun :) Look out for some posts next week of my time there!
